Release updates

  2. Release updates

This page lists what changed and when. There are two kinds of entry: a new file accepted from the publisher, and a change we made to how a figure is calculated or displayed.

Current release: the national English-language file published by the Food Standards Agency. The dated source and calculation version are listed below. No data refresh is inferred from a repeated build.

A new accepted file usually moves every share on the site by a small amount, because local authorities publish inspections continuously. We do not list that ordinary movement figure by figure. We do list a change of method, a corrected calculation, a new measure, a measure withdrawn, and any case where a published number changed for a reason other than new source records.

Comparison with the Food Standards Agency's own total for this release is recorded as not comparable. The displayed count was not captured alongside the copy we accepted, so an exact check is not possible for this file and we do not claim one. The next file accepted inside the publisher's nightly window will carry that control with it.
